I'm moving to a new blog for this year and future years

I didn't really think it made sense to keep re-creating my blog each year so I'm moving to a new blog for 2011 and beyond. Please join me at http://iwannabemewhenigrowup.blogspot.com/.
I'd love to see you there!

I'm still obsessed with these Green Glass Bottles - just too pretty! I loved cranking up the detail on these in Lightroom. Is it too much?

I haven't blogged in such a long time - even though I have been posting photos every once in a while to Flickr.

I had a pretty long week (not sure I'd call it bad - it was just long) so on Friday I decided to head over to the farm with the dog and my camera (what more does a girl need after all). I spent the evening chatting with Mom and Dad, got a good night's sleep and then went on an early morning photo shoot while the dogs played. I left mom and dad's less than 24 hours after I arrived but I felt remarkably better.

I hope everyone is doing great. Not sure if I'm going to try blogging again next year or not but it does feel good to check back in here.

07-09-2010 The Dog Days of Summer

Our super awesome and amazing dog walker, Dog Walker Bill, and his wife Lynn invited Lindsay and I over for a boat ride and swim tonight. A great time was had by all!

I visited Denver earlier this week on a business trip. The company reps we visited took us out for a beautiful dinner at a restaurant called Cool River which was scrumptuous. When I walked back into my dark hotel room this was the view out my window - and I think the colors were even more vibrant than this. Since I was up high and I knew I had absolutely no chance of getting outside and still catching this gorgeous color I had to grab the shot through the window. I couldn't have been happier. I even love the motion of the traffic and the lights of all the surrounding buildings - it adds to the rich colors.

06/16/2010 - I'm finally back...

I can't say this is the first photo I wanted to start with after nearly two months of not posting anything - however it kind of fits the fact that I've not been around for a while. I walked out my back door today (I walk out that door or at least look out that door five or more times a day as Lindsay traipses in and out of the back door to her lovely yard) and noticed this flag flying. I am quite positive I've never, ever seen it there before. I guess it's possible it's new, but I haven't noticed any construction. So, tomorrow morning I'll have to search for its origin on my way to work.

Hope all is well with all of my readers and photography friends. I'll be posting more photos from my blogging hiatus. I haven't taken them every day but I have taken them a large number of days. Looking forward to get back in the habit of taking photos and blogging them daily.

05/09/2010: Red barn on a clear day

This is the barn at my parent's farm - it's probably around 80 years and is a bit of a landmark since the roof has our name on it (pretty easy to tell people when they'd reached our house). The sun was just gorgeous last Sunday while I was visiting so I spent about an hour outside taking pictures of just about everything.
